Data sources and accuracy
What a parking listing tells you, where information comes from and what remains uncertain.
Imported parking records
Listings labelled "Imported record" come from the dataset supplied to AccessPark. They are not labelled as community-verified or recently inspected. Source dates are not available for every record, so the age and current accuracy of individual listings may be unknown.
The original publisher and reuse terms of this dataset are being confirmed. AccessPark does not offer the imported dataset for download or claim that it is open-licensed. A record's presence on this map does not grant rights to redistribute it. Source owners can contact us about attribution, permission or removal.
Community submissions
Listings labelled "Community reviewed" have been submitted by a user and approved for publication by an AccessPark administrator. This is a review of submitted information, not an independent site inspection. Approval does not guarantee that a location is available, lawful to use or suitable for a particular person.
Map and location services
The map background is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors, whose map data is available under the Open Database Licence. This attribution applies to the base map and must not be read as the licence for AccessPark's separate imported parking records.
UK postcode lookup uses Postcodes.io. Area searches use OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Directions open Google Maps, which is a separate service with its own terms and route information.
Counts, distance and missing details
The number of spaces is a recorded count, sometimes inferred from a source note. Where the imported data lacked a count, a default of one may be shown. It is not a live availability count. Distance is calculated in a straight line; it does not account for steps, slopes, crossings or the route to an accessible entrance.
A missing restriction, surface or width is unknown, not confirmation that there is no restriction or that the bay meets a particular standard.
Corrections and review holds
Specific records whose existing descriptions say the bay has been removed, closed or become inaccessible are held out of search pending review. The original records and notes are retained. This precaution is not a new confirmation that every affected bay is permanently closed.
Ordinary opening hours, seasonal restrictions and references to a nearby closed business are not treated as proof that a bay has been removed. New evidence is needed before a held record can be restored or its location changed.
